agree here. since when is electronic music not sample-based? i thought that's what it's all about. besides... i think calling him 'innovative' is a bit of an understatement. his stuff is some of the best new music i've heard in a long time. his melody compositions are brilliant.... i mean i could say lots of good stuff... but i don't think i need to .

or just not compare shit and enjoy it.. but i know what you mean. autechre spawned a whole new generation of music. personally, i like stuff that sounds like autechre. i like the aesthetic trajectory they began. i mean every new 'genre' begins somewhere. i think ae started one.
